A school is forcing parents to agree to third parties (including Google and Microsoft) collecting their children personal information without giving an option to decline.
Description
A person posted that in order to enrol their child in school they must consent to personal information collection on their child by more than 10 different companies, including Google and Microsoft. There is no option to decline. This can be interpreted as Decisional Interference, because the school uses the position of power: it is extremely difficult for the parents to change schools last moment, so they are risking to be left with only the option of not sending the child to school at all.
This person tried having conversations with the school and even with the state's Educational Technology representative to opt out from this data collection, but it was unsuccessful.
